To tap into the growing travel momentum, Traveloka decided to ride the wave of the popular “double date” trend. Interestingly, we’ve noticed that this trend has become quite formulaic—splurging on double dates is now a cultural norm, and most brands tend to follow a similar playbook: featuring Korean celebrities, catchy jingles, and familiar video treatments.
But Traveloka wanted to break the mold.
Instead of following the crowd, we introduced a bold twist: twin brand ambassadors—Kak Seto and his fictional twin, Kak Kresno. The campaign was titled DUAR DUAR KEMBAR.
The big idea? When you start seeing double, you know Traveloka has something massive in store. From June to December 2022, this campaign rolled out monthly episodes featuring fun and quirky “twin moments,” building excitement and surprise month after month.
